A transportable command-line-driven plotting tool called Gnuplot works on a variety of systems, including Windows, Linux, Os 2, Os X, and Vms.
Both 2d and 3d plots can be created by Gnuplot, and the output is animated attitudes. The maps can also be saved in Png, Svg, Jpeg, and Eps styles in addition to other image files.
Included in the supported outputs are:
- Cross-platform( Qt, wxwidgets, and x11 ) or system-specific( Ms Windows, Os / 2 ) interactive screen display
- Postscript( except Eps ), Pdf, Png, Gif, Jpeg, Latex, Metafont, Emf, and Svg are all directly output to files.
- Html5, xhtml, and other internet portray types

Gnuplot was initially developed to support a variety of non-interactive benefits, including internet script, but it was originally designed to enable scientists and students to comprehend numerical functions and data interactively. Third-party applications like Octave also use it as a planning locomotive.
